Drafty Dane Adoption Event
Join us at The Drafty Dane for an adoption event where you can meet our adoptable dogs and chat with our team about adoption, fostering, and volunteering. Our dogs will be in a designated meet and greet area while you hang out and enjoy the space. Stop by to grab a drink and see if you meet your new best friend.
Paint Your Pet
Join us at Shelters & Shelves Rescue for a fun and creative Paint Your Pet night on Saturday, February 28 at 6:00 pm. In this beginner-friendly, stress-free workshop, you’ll turn a photo of your pet into a one-of-a-kind painting with step-by-step instruction. Each ticket includes a 16×20 canvas, all supplies, and your pet pre-sketched (one pet per canvas). Tickets support the rescue, with a portion of every sale helping animals in our care. Spots are limited, and registration closes Monday, February 23 at midnight, so grab your seat for a night of creativity, laughs, and lots of pet love. Buy tickets here.

Puppy Yoga
Join us for Puppy Yoga, a fun and relaxing event that combines gentle yoga with adorable adoptable puppies. This special class features only puppies from our rescue, and 100% of the $25 Eventbrite ticket supports our rescue and the care of these pups. Come stretch, de-stress, and enjoy plenty of puppy cuddles while directly helping puppies find loving homes.

PETSMART Charities brings together local rescues and shelters to help create families through pet adoption, and we’ll be there with adoptable dogs looking for loving forever homes. Stop by, meet some amazing pups, and experience the joy that adoption brings.

Celebrate Halloween with a festive Trunk or Treat event! We’ll have a booth with information about our rescue and opportunities to get involved, but there will be no adoptable dogs present at this event.

Enjoy a weekend of local vendors and craft brews at Smyrna Market Village. Our rescue will have a booth with information and ways you can support. No dogs will be joining us for this event.

A creative, instructor-led evening at Shelters and Shelves Rescue where you'll paint your furry friend on a 16″ × 20″ canvas (all supplies included). Tickets are $45 + tax, cover materials and help support the rescue, and must be purchased in advance—space is limited and registration closes at midnight on Monday, September 15. Buy tickets here

Come see us at the Rise Up CrossFit Competition for a day of fitness and fun with rescue dogs. We will have a table set up with information about our adoptable pups, and some of them will stop by throughout the day to meet the crowd and look for their forever homes.
Tractor Supply Adotion Event
Come see us at Tractor Supply Co. for a chance to meet our adoptable dogs. We will have a table set up with information about our rescue, and some of our dogs will be there hoping to meet their future families. Stop by to say hello, learn more about adopting or volunteering, and give our pups some love.
Sweetwater Hiking
We are teaming up with the Frog Rock Hikers for a fun morning at Sweetwater Creek State Park, and everyone is invited. Our adoptable dogs will join the group for a scenic 2‑mile hike (about 1.5 hours) along the White Trail to the historic ruins and back. If you would like to walk one of our pups, arrive early at the Visitor Center by 7:45 a.m. to sign up.
